If you’re anything like me, anxiety is a frequent visitor. When it does show up, we can often default to patterns of coping such as numbing out, running away or becoming hypervigilant. These coping patterns may work temporarily but over time, they offer little sustainable relief. Through movement, breath work and guided meditation , you will be invited to get curious and explore these unhealthy habits. You will experience different ways of working with the totality of your experience (yes, including the bits you don’t like) in a compassionate way. Ultimately, the practice is to learn how to ground yourself into what the Buddhists refer to as calm abiding presence.
Each class will be 60-75 minutes
What to bring: a yoga mat, blocks, bolsters, pillows, strap. If you have none of these things, do not worry, we will make do! You might also bring a journal to your mat so you can jot down any techniques and/or practices that really work for you as we go along.
